| This
barge was purposely sunk in 90 feet of water, 250 yards off the
Kahala Hilton. The retired 200 Foot Matson Barge resting upright
and fully intact, includes a penetrable pilothouse. The pilothouse
is penetrable and makes for great photo opportunities. The waters
are kept clean by the currents, which also add a treacherous consideration
when navigating around jagged edges. As such, this should be considered
as an Advanced Dive, especially if swimming from the shore. |

This was a
nice dive. There were 3 curious sea turtles that kept
circling us throughout our inspection of the barge, along with the
usual
multi-colored fish. My only regret was that we weren't allowed to
swim within
the barge due to a recently collapsed wall. Good dive; good site. |
