Halau O Kekuhi and focuses on Art as a vehicle for seeing our natural
environment through many different eyes. EKF has held a vision of
a Fine Arts program which weaves together modern and traditional
art through the hands on experience of visual art materials and
Hawaiian cultural practices. Makawalu Visual Arts School is designed
to offer a progressively deeper understanding of Hawaiian literature,
chants and language as well as creating a vehicle through which
the individual can connect to the family, community and our environment.
