History of Hawaii
- The Hawaiian Islands were formed millions of years ago by the Hawaiian
hot spot miles below the oceans surface. This hot spot began spewing
magma through the earths crust and this eventually built up over time
until it breached the oceans surface and formed what we now call Hawaii.
Hawaiian
Language - The only place where the Hawaiian language is spoken
on a daily basis is on the private island of Ni'ihau, located just
off the coast of Kauai. Throughout all the islands you will find
many Hawaiian names, words and expressions used in daily life.
Weather
& Climate - The weather in Hawaii is very consistent, with
only a few degrees of change in temperatures throughout the year.
This is due to the year-round warm ocean surface temperatures, which
keeps the overlying atmosphere warm as well.

Marine
Life - The warm waters surrounding Hawaii are home to an incredible

isolation, approximately 30% of the reef fish are endemic to Hawaii.
