Coast on the west side of the Big Island of Hawaii. When diving
with Dive Makai, you will not only see endangered Green Sea turtles,
but watch them being cleaned, and learn how to spot their "clean
me" signals! You will not just "see" the Peacock
grouper, a species introduced 40 years ago, but learn about a hunting
partnership they have invented and perfected. You will learn to
recognize courting dances and mating behaviors. If you're lucky,
you might get your fingernails and teeth cleaned by our ambitious
Golden Cleaner shrimp. On our full day Adventure Days, you might
be fortunate enough to observe little gray reef sharks being cleaned,
while being distracted by the rarest of the rare, Tinker's butterflies
and Bandit angels. |
